This year, competitors will be called to one ring for all three events (Olympic Sparring, Forms, Point Style Sparring) at the same time.  Olympic Sparring will be followed directly by forms.  Athletes competing in point sparring, will do so right after Olympic sparring and forms.  Once all competitors arrive to the ring, each division will do all three events in one allotted time frame.

Dear Masters, Instructors, Coaches, and Athletes,

 

My name is  Raymond Lumampao, I am the director of the South Texas District Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Tae Kwon Do program.  I would like to invite you and your school to participate in the South Texas AAU State Qualifying Event.  Participants who place first through eighth in this event will qualify to represent Texas at the AAU National Championship as well as the prestigious USA/AAU Junior Olympic Games, the only true, multi-sport, weeklong event featuring the nation’s most talented athletes, vying for medals in twenty sports, including Taekwondo.

 

Our tournament will be May 3, 2008 at the San Antonio College Gymnasium, 1300 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio Texas, 78212.  You must pre-register for this event.  There will be no registration at the door.  Registration forms must be received by April 26, 2008.  You must also be a registered AAU member to compete, coach, or officiate.  Coaches and officials must also have attended a coaches/referee seminar.  The coaches/referee seminar will be May 2, 2008 at the San Antonio College Gymnasium, 1300 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio Texas, 78212.  For more information please call (361) 992-0388 or e-mail us at lumampao@sbcglobal.net.
