Dear Masters, Instructors, Coaches, and Athletes,
Greetings, My name
is Raymond Lumampao. As director of the South Texas District Amateur Athletic
Union (AAU) Tae Kwon Do program. I would
like to invite you and your school to participate in the South Texas AAU State
Qualifying Event. Participants who place
first through eighth in this event will qualify to represent Texas at the AAU National Championships and the prestigious
USA/AAU Junior Olympic Games. The only true multi-sport weeklong event
featuring the nation’s most talented athletes vying for medals in twenty
sports, including Taekwondo.
Our tournament will
be May 1, 2010 at the Texas A&M University Corpus
Christi, 6300 Ocean Drive. Corpus
Christi TX 78412. You must pre-register for this event. There will be no registration at the door. Registration forms must be received by April
25, 2010. You must also be a registered AAU member to compete, coach, or officiate.
Coaches must have taken the online Coach’s Certification Course
at aautaekwondo.org. There will no
longer be a coach’s seminar, it is all online. The referee seminar will be held
Friday April 30, 2010, 6:00pm to 9PM, at the Holiday Inn Emerald Beach, 1102 S. Shoreline Blvd., Corpus Christi, TX 78401 For more information please call

order to coach at the AAU State Taekwondo Championships, you must complete
and pass the Coach’s online certification at www.aautaekwondo.org. Coach’s
attire will be enforced at this tournament. NO EXCEPTIONS.
White Taekwondo Pants (or colored warm-up pants) and official blue AAU
shirt. Coach’s shirt can be purchased
at www.macho.com. |
